US Box Lacrosse Association sanctioned tournaments provide players with the highest level of competition in the country, all while ensuring our strict safety standards are met in each and every game played. All USBOXLA sanctioned events feature fully certified USBOXLA officials. These officials have successfully completed the USBOXLA Referee Certification Program, ensuring the association’s Rules & Situational Book – the country’s leading and most trusted game governing guidelines – are adhered to at every tournament. USBOXLA members host by far the biggest and best box lacrosse tournaments in the country, including:

In addition to a guaranteed three games and champions in each division crowned, teams will also take part in a 1 hour and 15 minute clinic prior to game play. This year USBOXLA instructors Adam Mueller, Jordan Hall, Kevin Crowley, Steven Holmes and Luke Wiles will lead the clinics, which are made available to all players and teams.

This inaugural event will host USBOXLA teams from all over the country. XL Sports World hosts two sport court rinks with double door benches. This tournament is a championship style event. All teams will play in four games, with a playoff round scheduled for Sunday for those that qualify.

The top three teams in each division earn invitations to the USBOXLA Nationals in California next year. Teams will challenge Midwest, West, and Southern championship caliber teams at Nationals which will also include games against Canadian champions. Read about the 2015 edition.

Each team will be guaranteed a minimum of three 40-minute games and each division will be limited to six teams. This USBOXLA-sanctioned event will be held in Historic Irvington at the Ellenberger Ice Rink that Hoosier simply calls “The Barn”. The Barn is an old ice rink that was used by the Indianapolis Checkers, who have since relocated to Colorado. While in Indy the Checkers were part of the New York Islanders during their Stanley Cup dynasty. It is old, dark and full of history, an ideal location for this Indianapolis-based box event. The B.A.S.S. is the longest running USBOXLA sanctioned tournament in the US, featuring top teams in the Bay Area and beyond. The 2016 edition, which featured over 500 players, was the biggest B.A.S.S. yet, 2017 promising to be even better. Considered one of the top box lacrosse tournaments in the country, Denver’s Battle in the Box also includes a pre-tournament clinic hosted by the USBOXLA Academy. Last year instructors included Matt Brown, John Gallant, Jamie Shewchuk, Shaydon Santos and Jeremy Noble. The 2017 USBOXLA Academy takes place July 21 (9-11 am).
